Eye Lightening - Day One

So, yesterday I took a giant step.
I put honey in my eyes.
Before you guys go all "WTF ARE YOU CRAZY?" on me, I'd just like to point out that the honey was diluted with 1/2 water, boiled over the stove, cooled for an hour, and then lightly dipped into the eyes.
...and my mom didn't notice a thing.
Now, my mom doesn't need to lighten her skin tone or her eye color, so she'd be completely apposed of me doing it. That's why I have to sneak these things from her.
Okay, what I did...
I took some Kroger brand 100% clover honey that we had in the pantry and squeezed a fair amount into a small pot. (I mean fair because - you're treating this like an eyedrop. You don't need to make a giant tub-worth of "solution", as I call it, because you're literally dripping the mixture into your eyes. You'll just have a lot left over). I added a little bit of cold tap water into the pot, and then heated it on the stove, stirring it with a wooden spoon. Since I only made a tiny bit, it didn't take long for the water to start bubbling and steaming. I let it cool completely (because who likes basically microwaving your eyes?) for about 15-30 minutes and then poured it into a tiny bowl.
This mixture is glazed like honey, but watery like...water. I dipped my finger in and touched my eyes "like applying a contact"...nothing. After a couple more tries, I ended up lavishing my finger with the solution until the point of dripping, and then holding it right above the eye the moment before the solution all slipped away.
The burn? More like a tingly sensation.. Like if you ever put in eyedrops for the fluorescent. Then I went to sleep, awaiting sparkly hazel eyes.
...no luck. One of the most severe thunderstorms in the century hit Atlanta last night. I was tossing and turning and staring at the lightning flashing out the window all night.
In the morning? My dark chocolate eyes did look a little lighter...but it was just an illusion, probably.
Okay, so I'm going to start on tackling my homework now, and then tomorrow I'll post Day Two of eye lightning!

  4. My eyes have gone a shade lighter and it's only been a week not months like you stated. I've noticed alot of peoples saying it takes them months, mainly because you arent supposed to boil the water as heat kills the effective properties in honey.
Just try using bottled water and honey for your solution. I'm using organic raw lemon blossom honey and using 80% honey to 20% water in my solution. Hope that helps :)
